As an early team member at our fast-growing startup, you'll shape our product experience from the ground up, working closely with our product and AI engineers to create elegant solutions that make complex financial data accessible and actionable for our users. We're looking for someone who is deeply customer obsessed and relentlessly focused on delivering exceptional user experiences.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworksCollaborate with product and AI engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutionsWork alongside backend engineers to design and build API routes that power the frontend experienceParticipate in API design discussions to ensure frontend requirements are properly addressedBuild reusable UI components and establish front-end architecture patternsImplement data visualizations to present complex financial information clearly and intuitivelyOptimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeContinuously gather user feedback and iterate rapidly based on customer needsAdvocate for the customer in all product discussionsStay current with emerging trends and technologies in front-end developmentRequirements 4+ years of professional front-end development experienceExpert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern front-end toolingStrong understanding of CSS, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibilityFamiliarity with data visualization libraries (Chart.js, etc.)Experience with front-end testing frameworks and methodologiesProven track record of shipping user-focused productsDeep empathy for user needs and passion for user experienceCustomer obsession - you're relentlessly focused on solving real customer problemsStrong bias toward action and ownership of your workEnjoy getting something out to the customer as soon as possibleExperience building scalable systems (1→10)Ability to work 4 days per week from our San Francisco office (open to candidates willing to relocate)Nice to HaveExperience working in fast-growing startups ideally within a fintech companyFamiliarity with AI/ML concepts and how they apply to user interfacesKnowledge of WebGL or Canvas for advanced visualizationsContribution to open-source projectsBackground in UX/UI designExperience with real-time data applicationsKnowledge of accessibility standards and implementationOur StackReact, TypeScript, Next.js, dbt, Tailwind CSSJest and Testing Library for testingAWS infrastructureAs an early-stage company building at the frontier of AI, we work with high intensity and commitment. While schedules can vary by role/team, many weeks will demand extra focus, flexibility and time particularly during major launches and high impact sprints. We're seeking those who are aligned to and able to commit to that expectation which includes 4 days per week in our San Francisco Office.
