The Post-Sale Systems Engineering team is the technical lifeblood of the North America Mission Critical Networks Deployment, Managed & Support Services Organization team. Our engineers design and implement the innovative communications solutions that make a difference, "Solving for Safer". As the solution architect and technical consulting lead, the Systems Engineering team has the end-to-end design, technology consultancy, and implementation responsibility for all post-sale project engagements. The Systems Engineering team delivers customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of our First Responder and Government customers. Job Description NOTE: The preferred candidate will be based out of Los Angeles or Greater Los Angeles Area The Senior Systems Engineer will take responsibility for and oversee all technical aspects of the assigned project from proposal award until system acceptance. Final Design and implementation of the radio network, including infrastructure, subscribers, power systems design, equipment shelter and tower designs, and backhaul network design, including microwave, leased line, and customer-provided Ethernet networks Customer presentations System staging Developing system acceptance test plans and conducting system functional acceptance testing Radio Coverage design, analysis, testing, and interference mitigation Radio system licensing (FCC/Industry Canada/NTIA) Preparation of system fleetmap and radio programming templates Complete system documentation Live system cutovers and upgrades Participate in design reviews with pre-sales teams Consultative guidance to customers, sales, and pre-sales teams Coordinate with the various functional teams (Project Managers, Field Engineers, Service, Sales, Product Groups) to ensure all business unit goals are addressed Preferred Skills: Experience in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE networks Experience, a good understanding, and working knowledge in IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar Previous knowledge and experience working with Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, and/or Ceragon equipment Experience/knowledge with designing and implementing Microwave Backhaul Experience directly working with end-user customers Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment A positive attitude with a can-do m ...
