Job Summary Your Career Join our Research and Development (R&D) team as a Software Engineer Intern and make a global impact by helping to prevent successful cyberattacks. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on projects that provide real hands-on experience with our Strata, Prisma, and Cortex products. This internship offers 1:1 mentorship and the opportunity to work on challenging projects that protect our digital way of life in a hybrid work model. We collaborate to build software that does not just work, but also solves real problems. Some of our most impactful projects started off with an engineer asking “why” and working with mentors and peers to create value. You will join a Research and Development (R&D) team that will give you the opportunity to make a global impact. One that protects our way of life in the digital age by preventing successful cyber attacks. A team looking for engineers who are passionate about technology, have an interest in cybersecurity, and also want to make a positive difference in the world that we live in. The projects our engineers are assigned will give real hands-on experience working on our products from our Strata, Prisma and Cortex organizations. Our Summer Internship Program from May-August or June-September provides you: 1:1 mentorship Fun and engaging events that inspire your intellectual curiosity Opportunities to expand your knowledge and work on challenging projects Connections to other interns, recent grads, and employees across the company as well as our leaders Your Impact Collaborate closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, and implement software solutions. Write, test, and debug high-quality code that meaningfully improves our products and services. Utilize cutting-edge technologies to contribute to innovative projects that disrupt the cybersecurity industry. Contribute to projects within our Strata, Prisma, and Cortex product organizations, gaining hands-on experience. Proactively work with cross-functional teams including researchers and Product Managers to ensure project alignment and success. Engage with and learn from leading cybersecurity experts to deepen your industry knowledge and apply your learning to solve complex problems. Qualifications Your Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, and returning to school in the following term. Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C++, or Java. Preferred Qualifications A demonstrated passion for or interest in the field of cybersecurity.
