Job Description Your Career We are seeking a motivated, forward-thinking intern to join our InfoSec Security Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) Team. This position will be responsible for helping to assess Palo Alto Network’s information security risks as well as understanding and supporting the design of security controls within the context of the global regulatory frameworks and/or Palo Alto Networks standards as applicable. This role requires a mix of broad, business and technical acumen and a polished ability to communicate with members of the team and their cross functional partners to help manage these risks and drive risk remediation. Our Summer Internship Program from May-August or June-September provides you: 1:1 mentorship Fun and engaging events that inspire your intellectual curiosity The opportunity to expand your knowledge and work on challenging projects Connections to other interns, recent grads, and employees across the company as well as our leaders Your Impact Help demonstrate our commitment to security within the company Analyze third party risk and support third party risk assessment activities leveraging Attack Surface Management tools such as Cortex Xpanse Understand technical implementation details necessary to assess security controls Assist with aligning and codifying controls to show how they are mitigating information security risk Assist with daily activities and functions such as assessing third parties and operational controls for security risk Support risk reporting to all levels of the organization (i.e. Executive, Management, etc.) Qualifications (Additional Job Description) Your Experience Passion for Information Security and solving complex challenges Experience with analyzing data to surface meaningful information Technical classwork or experience such as application development, AI, networking, data science, statistics, Information Security principles, and system administration in the cloud using technologies such as React JS, Python, Go, AWS/GCP Candidates must have experience using APIs, including integration, authentication, and data retrieval, to effectively connect and interact with external services Candidates should have a strong curiosity about AI tools and the latest generative AI trends, with a willingness to explore emerging technologies and apply them creatively to solve real-world problems Candidates should have a basic understanding of scripting and automation, with a keen interest in learning how to write scripts to automate tasks, optimize workflows, and improve efficiency within the team.
