The Mission: Why Harness CCM? Cloud spend is the second-largest line item for modern enterprises, yet most companies manage it using spreadsheets and manual guesswork. Harness Cloud Cost Management (CCM) is changing that. We don't just report costs; we automate the savings. The Commitment Orchestrator is our "crown jewel." It’s an intelligent engine that manages millions of dollars in AWS Reserved Instances (RIs) and Savings Plans autonomously. We use an "Atomization Strategy" to break large, rigid commitments into smaller, fluid units that renew on a rolling basis—giving customers up to 70% savings with zero manual intervention. Position Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to our Predictive Orchestration engine. This role goes beyond standard CRUD APIs; you will build and scale a system that deeply understands the "physics" of cloud billing. You will develop models that forecast workload trends and implement the logic for high-stakes buy/sell/exchange recommendations in real-time across AWS, Azure, and GCP. What You Will Do Time-Series Forecasting: Develop and refine models that process large-scale historical billing data to predict usage trends and anomalies with high precision. ML-Driven Implementation: Build the backend intelligence that calculates the optimal mix of Savings Plans vs. RIs. You will implement "break-even" logic and risk-modeling to prevent customer over-commitment. Cloud Instrument Integration: Deep-dive into cloud financial instruments (e.g., AWS Convertible RIs, Azure Reservations, GCP CUDs) and translate these complex rules into robust, maintainable code. Reliable Orchestration: Develop the "Executioner" service that programmatically interacts with cloud provider APIs to automate the purchase and exchange of commitments. Scalable Data Pipelines: Solve data ingestion challenges from AWS Cost Usage Reports (CUR) and GCP BigQuery billing exports, ensuring high availability and performance under heavy load. About You Experience: 4–6 years of experience developing scalable, distributed backend services (Golang preferred). Technical Proficiency: Strong background in building complex distributed systems and a solid understanding of Time-Series Analysis or Machine Learning pipelines.
