We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.
THE ROLE
As a Staff Brand Designer at Abridge, you will set a new standard for design in healthcare, redefining what brand means in the industry and shaping how Abridge looks, feels, and communicates at every touchpoint.
We’re reimagining the future of healthcare, and you’ll play a pivotal role in defining what comes next. You’ll translate complex product narratives into a cohesive, ambitious brand system that drives meaningful impact across healthcare systems. With a refined, premium aesthetic and sharp strategic instincts, you’ll elevate our creative output and push the team toward ever-higher standards. Your work will transform bold ideas into tangible brand moments to build a presence that is distinctive, consistent, and unforgettable.
This role is ideal for a creative, systems-minded designer with exceptional taste and a bias toward action, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is motivated by work that truly matters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Define and evolve our brand to position us as a leader in healthcare AI. Establish principles and direction that guide the brand at scale.
- Inspire and elevate the design team through thoughtful critique, ambitious vision, and clarity of perspective. Drive alignment across stakeholders and confidently articulate the “why” behind creative decisions.
- Translate complex strategy into compelling campaigns, brand moments, and experiences. Build narratives that feel cohesive across touchpoints and emotionally resonant across audiences.
- Evolve and expand our brand system to support future growth. Create flexible frameworks, templates and libraries, that empower others while maintaining cohesion.
- Partner cross-functionally to concept and launch new initiatives from the ground up. Bring both strategic direction and hands-on craft to early-stage work.
- Model world-class fundamentals across typography, layout, composition, and color. Flex the brand across digital, print and experiential work, maintaining a level of polish and cohesion throughout.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 9+ years of experience in brand design and crafting design systems at scale. Work that reflects not just visual polish, but the ability to build, evolve, and diversify brand systems over time. We’re looking for designers who show how narratives expand across campaigns, channels, and moments
- You can clearly articulate creative rationale, lead brainstorms, and build alignment across marketing, product, content, and leadership teams.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of your craft. You’re an expert in typography, compositions, hierarchy and visual story telling paired with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be able to tackle multiple projects simultaneously, moving between strategic thinking and visual execution with ease
