<p>Auterion is seeking an Accounting Intern to support our finance team during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in corporate accounting within a fast-paced technology startup environment.</p> <p>You'll work alongside experienced accounting professionals, contribute to month-end close processes, support our first global external audit, and gain exposure to enterprise accounting systems (NetSuite), inventory management, and multi-entity operations. This role is ideal for an accounting student looking to build practical skills, understand how startups scale their finance functions, and prepare for a career in corporate accounting or public accounting.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with month-end close activities, including data entry, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation</li> <li>Support balance sheet reconciliation process by gathering supporting documentation and investigating variances</li> <li>Help maintain organized filing systems for accounting records, audit documentation, and compliance materials</li> <li>Assist with audit preparation activities, including preparing schedules, organizing PBC requests, and compiling supporting documentation</li> <li>Support inventory accounting processes, including reconciling physical counts to system records and investigating discrepancies</li> <li>Perform data analysis and quality checks in NetSuite to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies</li> <li>Help document accounting processes, procedures, and system workflows</li> <li>Participate in special projects related to process improvement, system implementation, and automation initiatives</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, FPA) to gather information and resolve accounting questions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li> <li>Completed at least intermediate accounting coursework (Accounting I II)</li> <li>Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation)</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities</li> <li>Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed</li> <li>Authorized to work in the US</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hybrid work flexibility</li> <li>Mentorship from experienced accounting professionals</li> <li>Exposure to executive leadership and company operations</li> <li>Networking opportunities within the tech/startup community</li> <li>Professional development and learning opportunities</li> <li>Team lunches and social events</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Auterion</strong></p> <p>We are building the leading software platform for AI-powered autonomous systems for enterprise and government customers.
