Role and Team
Reporting to the Office Manager, or designated supervisor, provides passenger pick-up and delivery service for the auction. Operate vehicles in a safe and legal manner in compliance with safety regulations. Perform all duties as assigned by the designated manager or supervisor. In addition, must know, practice and ensure that company policies, procedures and applicable state and federal laws are followed at all times.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service:
Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition by greeting others.
Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly and courteous manner. Notify the designated manager of all serious complaints or incidents.
Perform pick-up and delivery services:
Review weekly schedule for customer pick-up at airport or local hotel. Assist customer with boarding and exiting vehicle. Load and unload luggage, packages and other items.
Assist all departments with daily equipment or parts pick-up needs. Deliver these items to the appropriate department in a timely fashion.
Complete the pick-up and delivery of sale promotional items as directed by the General Manager or designated manager.
Other responsibilities:
Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
Promptly report all traffic incidents such as an accident, traffic citation or warning to the designated manager.
Maintain a good flow of communication with all auction personnel and customers.
Monitor and report to designated manager anything that may prevent the vehicle from operating in a safe manner. This includes ensuring company vehicle receives regular preventative maintenance and cleaning.
Ensure work area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety. Respond to and follow proper procedure on employee and customer accidents, injuries and loss or damage to property by promptly reporting incidents to management.
Practice and promote company values.
Qualifications
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
