The Core Product Experience (CPX) team owns and elevates the heart of the Front application — the inbox and adjacent surfaces where frontline users triage and route conversations, collaborate with teammates, and craft high-quality replies. CPX's mission is to ensure that frontline and admin users can work more efficiently, with higher quality, and a happier day-to-day experience. The team's scope is broad, spanning everything from core inbox functionality (inboxes, messages, composer) to newer surfaces like ticketing mode, and the team partners closely with Client Platform, AI, and other pods across Engineering. As Front continues to grow and invest in AI-powered experiences, CPX is at the center of the product strategy. About the Role We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team on CPX, based in our San Francisco office (hybrid). You'll manage a team of talented engineers delivering on an ambitious and expanding roadmap, lean into technical design and implementation decisions, and obsess about quality, performance, and the end-user experience. This is a highly collaborative role — you'll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering teams across SF and globally. What will you be doing? - Drive execution on a high-impact roadmap. Work with your team to turn product specs into features that directly shape how thousands of companies communicate with their customers every day. - Lead and grow a strong engineering team. Coach and develop engineers at various levels, attract and hire top talent, and foster a culture of ownership, learning, and high standards. - Partner cross-functionally. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Data Analysts to define what to build and why. Represent your team's priorities and tradeoffs in planning and strategy discussions. - Own technical quality. Guide the team through architectural decisions, champion code quality and performance, and ensure the team is building for reliability and scale in a complex, real-time, multi-platform application. - Contribute to engineering leadership.
