Job Title: Specialist Dietitian – Eating Disorders Banding: Band 6/7 Equivalent (dependent on experience) Location: Chelmsford Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months (with a view to extend) Hourly Rate: Competitive (based on experience) Working Hours: 0.4 – 0.6 WTE (2–3 days per week, 09:00–17:00) Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Dietitian with specialist expertise in eating disorders to join a multidisciplinary team. This role supports a specialist inpatient ward currently caring for 10 patients (capacity 12), including 9 contracted beds commissioned by Essex partners. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider MDT to contribute to comprehensive clinical formulations and care planning for all patients on the ward, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred nutritional interventions. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist dietetic assessments and interventions for patients with eating disorders. Participate in MDT formulation and care planning for a caseload of 10–12 patients. Provide expert nutrition advice to patients, carers, and clinical colleagues. Support safe, evidence‑based nutritional rehabilitation and risk management. Contribute to service development and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Qualifications and Experience Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Proven experience working with eating disorder populations (essential). Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within an MDT.
