About Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems. You will play a key role in building data pipelines, improving metadata integration, and ensuring high-quality, discoverable data across the platform.
Responsibilities
Build and optimize batch and streaming data processing systems
Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability across pipelines
Integrate data platforms with metadata, lineage, and governance systems
Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of data infrastructure
Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term fixes
Collaborate with Product, Platform, and Analytics teams to deliver data solutions
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
Required Skills
Proficiency in Python / Java
Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow / Dagster
Strong experience with Spark / Kafka / Flink or similar processing frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
Solid understanding of metadata, lineage, and data governance concepts
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system design skills
Experience in building data platforms or internal data tooling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with DataHub or metadata platforms
Experience in distributed systems and large-scale data architecture
Exposure to open-source data ecosystem
