Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees. About the Role We are a small, dynamic team focused on building cloud-managed intercom systems. Intercom is our second newest major product line and is off to the best start of any product in Verkada’s history. Our intercom allows customers to receive calls from anywhere - at their desk or on their phone - with rich video and 2-way audio, and we have a lot more to build. We consider our team a startup within a startup, with a fair amount of ownership and autonomy. You’ll be working alongside a dynamic team of firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers to develop this product line. Who You Are Excited by new products and startups You think about delivering best-in-class products and experiences - not features You can take a less-than-fully-fleshed-out product idea and drive it to completion BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science What You Bring 7+ years of industry mobile software engineering experience 2+ years of professional experience as a mobile engineer at a rapidly growing start up or innovative company. In-depth understanding of Swift and iOS SDK Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code Experience working with backend server APIs Strong UI development skills Strong unit testing skills Experience driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution Experience collaborating cross functionally to design complex and latency sensitive systems History of shipping out significant products.
