Job Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril’s Manufacturing Technology, Maritime Team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Maritime Systems. The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team is responsible for rapidly developing and implementing manufacturing technologies and processes for cutting-edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea and sea to air vehicles and scaling these products in our new manufacturing facilities. ABOUT THE JOB As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will own the critical bridge between engineering design and full-rate production for our advanced autonomous systems. This role is a hybrid of manufacturing process development and manufacturing planning, requiring you to design and validate how we build our hardware while also creating the detailed plans and documentation to execute it at scale. You will develop and implement robust manufacturing processes that are efficient, repeatable, and compliant with rigorous customer requirements, including those specified by NAVSEA, enabling the delivery of mission-critical capabilities. WHAT YOU'LL DO Manufacturing Process: Design, develop, and qualify robust manufacturing processes for complex maritime systems, from component fabrication and sub-assembly through final vehicle integration and testing. Manufacturing Planning: Author and maintain comprehensive manufacturing plans, translate complex 2D/3D engineering drawings into clear work instructions, and create optimized process routings in our MES (Forge). Own the creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), ensuring accurate translation from the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and meticulously documenting the as-built configuration. Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and producibility assessments, providing critical, data-driven feedback to the design team to optimize for cost, quality, and scalability. Identify, specify, and qualify all tooling, fixtures, and test equipment required to support manufacturing and assembly operations in accordance with program requirements. Drive continuous improvement by leading process validation activities, applying statistical methods, and performing root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing discrepancies and enhance production efficiency. Serve as the primary technical interface between design engineering, supply chain, and production operations, ensuring alignment and resolving issues to meet delivery commitments. Provide hands-on, on-floor engineering support during new product introduction (NPI), critical build phases, and troubleshooting activities.
