Summary
The Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes. They will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing manual workloads, and improving the accuracy of data and workflows through automation technologies. The Automation Specialist will help translate business problems into automation workflows and scalable solutions that enable the organization to operate more efficiently and adapt to changing demands. This role involves working with cutting edge automation frameworks to streamline operations across engineering, product and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement a scalable, reusable automation framework using Jira/Service Desk, Zapier, Zendesk, Looker, etc
- Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, JSON, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python
- Optimize business and engineering processes through automation.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and design practical automation solutions that improve operational efficiency
- Translate operational and business requirements into technical specifications and automation workflows
- Build internal automation tools and scripts that streamline operational processes
- Collaborate with operations, product, and technical teams to ensure automation solutions align with business needs
- Document automation workflows and maintain clear operational documentation for automation processes
- Create and adjust Looker Dashboards
- Ability to manage large or multiple projects with changing priorities
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience designing and implementing automation workflows for complex business processes
- Hands-on experience with SQL and scripting languages such as Python or similar tools
