You can learn more about working with us in the last section of this page.About the roleAs IT Lead at Tandem, you’ll be responsible for designing and operating the internal systems that keep our team fast, secure, and productive. You’ll oversee our infrastructure across identity, access, device management, and compliance — while also supporting day-to-day IT needs like access requests, device provisioning, and distributed workforce support.This role requires both systems thinking and hands-on execution. You’ll help define foundational IT workflows and tooling as we scale, while also serving as the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving issues across the team. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and compliance to ensure the environment we’re building is robust, secure, and built for scale.This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Tandem's success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.If you join, you will:Own our internal IT infrastructure — including identity, device, and systems managementAdminister and improve core tools like Google Workspace, Jamf, Zoom, Slack, and TwingateBuild and automate onboarding and offboarding workflows, reducing manual setup and access errorsSupport a growing distributed workforce — including offsite device logistics, access controls, and endpoint securityHandle internal access requests and technical escalations with speed and contextWrite and maintain automation scripts and lightweight integrations across internal systemsPartner with engineering and compliance to support SOC2/HITRUST posture and audit readinessWe’ll be most excited if you:4–8 years of experience in IT operations, internal systems, or infrastructure supportDeep familiarity with Google Workspace administration and device management (Jamf, MDMs)Experience with cloud IAM systems (AWS preferred), and Zero Trust or identity governance toolsProficiency in scripting and infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g., Terraform, Bash, Python)Comfort designing workflows and automation to support scale and complianceStrong communication and support instincts, with a user-first mindsetHigh NPS with your former teammatesThis is a list of ideal qualifications for this position.
