We are looking for a Senior Product Support Engineer, Maritime, to join our rapidly growing team in Quincy, MA. In this role, you will own and drive all aspects of sustainment, focusing on maintenance planning, technical data, sparing, and lifecycle management of our Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). You will develop and maintain critical sustainment artifacts, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with product evolution. Collaborating closely with engineering, quality, reliability, and operations teams, you will create and execute comprehensive plans that support the long-term reliability and operational readiness of our systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Anduril’s AUVs, UUVs, USVs meet the highest standards of performance and maintainability throughout their lifecycle. From crafting detailed maintenance strategies to managing technical documentation and spare parts planning, your expertise will play a vital role in enabling Anduril’s mission to transform Autonomous Underwater Vehicle operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Develop and maintain comprehensive, ground-up sustainment plans for AUVs, UUVs, USVs
Partner with customers, operations teams, and engineering teams to define and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies
Ensure the availability of up-to-date maintenance procedures, tools, and technical manuals to support sustainment operations
Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for all sustainment-related matters within the product team
Collaborate with engineering teams during new product development to integrate best sustainment practices early in the design process
Create and maintain a service bill of materials (SBOM) to establish a central, up-to-date repository for sustainment artifacts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles
Proficiency in CAD software and product lifecycle management tools
Familiarity with military standards and specifications
5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a high rigor environment (maritime, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, etc.)
Ability to work effectively in unstructured environments and adapt to changing priorities
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you must have an ability to synthesize complex quantitative data into clear decision statements
Demonstrated ability to learn and master new technologies quickly
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Maritime, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related field)
5+ years of experience in product support, sustainment, or systems engineering
Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents
Experience reviewing technical drawings/schematics.
Understanding of the use of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, interface control documents, and electrical schematics).
Broad knowledge of Integrated Product Support (IPS), including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts.
