The Role GDM’s People Culture (PC) team is on a mission to empower our people to do their best work. The Talent Management (**not Talent Acquisition) team sits within the PC organization and is responsible for helping leaders, managers and PC understand our talent and make intentional decisions based on that understanding. Collaborating with other PC teams, as well as business leaders and managers across the organisation, we execute on a critical component of PC Strategy that develops the culture and environment that enables the advancement of AI research. Our team's approach is data-driven, integrated with business goals, agile in response to market changes, and empowering for our leaders. We leverage performance and talent data to drive strategic talent decisions, invest in critical areas, and enable a resilient and elite-performing GDM. We are looking for someone who can help our team turbo-charge their efforts by applying a process improvement lens, particularly focused on improving our data analysis capabilities. Key responsibilities Analyse and manipulate data to develop executive-ready insights, dashboards, and narratives to support leadership decision-making. Translate data into actionable business outcomes. Create templates, processes and frameworks that can be leveraged by the team in the future. Proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions to optimise our existing process operations, with a focus on efficiency and impact, leveraging AI resources and other available technologies. Lead initiatives aimed at improving scalability, efficiency, and team outcomes. Work collaboratively across the broader People Culture team, particularly the PC Analytics team. Our work requires a close partnership with the Analytics team and you’ll be our liaison to them. Quickly gain an in-depth understanding of our Talent Operations so you can anticipate problems and identify solutions, using your judgement and discretion to determine and plan the next steps of your work. Support ad-hoc strategic projects and business deep dives as priorities evolve. Success requires strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. About you In order to set you up for success as a Talent Management Operations Partner at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 5+ years of experience in business operations, analytics, strategy, consulting, or a related role. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, proficiency in SQL, with a track record of building automations or workflow scripts (e.g., Apps Script, VBA, or JavaScript-based automation tools) to bridge data gaps.
