Associate Software Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Associate Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to help build scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to a collaborative development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core/5+ and modern UI frameworks
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering best practices
Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and design to implement technical solutions
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) to deploy and maintain applications
Implement automated testing strategies and participate in CI/CD pipeline development
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full software development lifecycle
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Collaborate with and learn from senior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
1+ years of professional or internship software development experience
Basic proficiency in .NET framework or .NET Core/5+ development
Exposure to modern UI frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Understanding of fundamental software design principles
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Knowledge of basic API concepts (REST, JSON)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Practical understanding of CI/CD concepts
Exposure to automated testing concepts and tools
Interest in microservices architecture
Familiarity with NoSQL databases
Knowledge of GraphQL as an alternative to REST
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
Understanding of basic security concepts in software
Interest in full-stack or mobile development
A desire to learn about performance and scalability
