About the Opportunity
The Trading Service team is the backbone of our exchange's industry-leading trading product, which is utilized by millions of users. We are responsible for the core order and position management systems, enabling a full spectrum of trading products, including manual, automatic, and social trading, as well as brokerage services. Our platform supports diverse financial instruments such as spot, margin, futures, options, and perpetuals.
Join our elite Trading Service team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where you will be a pivotal technical leader shaping the future of our ultra-low latency, high-throughput trading platform. This is a highly impactful individual contributor role for an exceptional engineer with a deep passion for financial markets and cutting-edge technology. You will own and drive the architectural direction for critical system components, solve the most complex technical challenges across multiple teams, and significantly influence our engineering practices and technical roadmap. Your work will directly empower millions of users and underpin the efficiency of our industry-leading exchange.
What You’ll Be Doing
Define and own the long-term technical architecture and strategy for core trading platform components, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence
Spearhead the design and implementation of highly challenging, ambiguous, and cross-cutting technical projects that span multiple engineering teams
Identify and eliminate critical performance bottlenecks across the entire trading architecture, implementing advanced low-latency and high-throughput solutions in Java
Serve as a definitive technical authority and subject matter expert in core trading systems and Java performance; provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers
Stay abreast of industry trends, research emerging technologies (e.g., new concurrency models, hardware acceleration), and propose innovative solutions to enhance the platform's competitive edge
Design highly resilient, fault-tolerant systems and drive best practices in monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-mortem analysis for mission-critical trading infrastructure
Collaborate extensively with Stakeholders to translate strategic business needs into highly efficient and scalable technical solutions; influence product roadmaps from a technical feasibility and architectural sustainability perspective
Evangelize and enforce high standards in software engineering design, coding, testing, and deployment practices across multiple teams
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or a strong STEM education background)
10+ years of extensive professional experience designing, building, and operating high-performance, ultra-low latency distributed systems in Java
