Deburr Technician (Additive Manufacturing)

As a Deburr Technician at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the post-processing of metal 3D printed parts for the world’s first high-volume additive manufacturing factory. You will debur and post-process parts with complex geometries and tight-tolerances with a keen eye for precision and attention to detail. You will have an opportunity to use a variety of tools and machines such as EDM’s, grit blasters, grinders, power hand tools, and more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced RD environment, will take pride in their work, and will have a no-job-too-big-or-small mentality. Responsibilities: Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in deburring, metal additive pos t -processing, or similar hands-on precision metal work Nice to Have: Experience in operating complex equipment Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed Safety conscience Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Location: Based in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, RD, and production together under one roof.
