Compute Architect

What MatX Is Building MatX designs hardware tailored for the world’s best AI models. Our hardware will make a given level of intelligence available 3-5 years sooner. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the world’s largest models. We are seeking an experienced ML accelerator compute architect to help design MatX’s next generation of chips. This role focuses on the architecture of computational units, their memories, and connectivity. What You'll Do Here Define ISA and microarchitecture for compute, memories, and interconnects Derive architectural requirements from ML/AI use cases Author architectural specifications Specify numeric formats and quantization strategies Collaborate closely with Research, Software, and Hardware teams Participate in architecture review, design reviews, and test planning.
