The Team As part of our scaling Orchestration Automation team, you'll have a huge impact on helping teams and engineers build and operate resilient, reliable and scalable systems. You'll have ownership over our product's health, ensuring end-to-end availability and peak performance, contributing to software development and maintenance. You’ll get to sharpen your skills on the latest tech stack in the areas of DevOps tooling, CICD, Containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure as code. Interacting with your engineering team and the Platform and SRE organization in Celonis. The Role We’re looking for an experienced DevOps or Platform Engineer with interest in software engineering and prior skills in both fields — someone with strong ownership of end-to-end systems and eager to take on expanded responsibilities beyond the team boundaries. You’ll design, build, and scale our services, mentor peers and drive best practices. With your help we’ll automate operate these systems using the latest technologies and practices. The work you’ll do: Author, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters Automate operational tasks and infrastructure as code Monitor and manage our environments by integrating telemetry and observability into the platform. Maintain best practices around notifications and response processes Design, own, support and drive the investigation and resolution of incidents and issues in production Collaborate and develop on backend services in Node.JS , TypeScript or Java with Spring Boot and maintain and enhance existing systems Partner with Product, Platform, SRE and Engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions with the highest level of availability reliability Handle customer escalations and support customer migrations from legacy features The qualifications you need: Minimum 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience owning complex systems Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps (ArgoCD) Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Kustomize and Terraform are a plus Experience working with various public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern cloud monitoring system observability frameworks (e.g., Datadog). Solid knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby...). Strong Java (Spring Boot) expertise with RESTful APIs and microservices Knowledge of distributed system (architectures) and concurrency patterns Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka message brokers, or similar systems Comfort with Scrum, Kanban, and Jira-based planning Excellent English communication and a proactive, continuous-learning mindset Familiarity with GO, or strong willingness to learn What Celonis Can Offer You: Pioneer Innovation: Work with the leading, award-winning process mining technology, shaping the future of business.
