The Market Development Manager Role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Market Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategy & Market Development, this role will be responsible for researching, identifying, and developing proposals for growth opportunities for Qlik in the data, analytics, and AI markets. Specific areas of focus will include, understanding marketing dynamics, understanding Qlik’s position in our markets and developing business cases for areas of opportunity.  This role will require a high degree of collaboration with a wide variety of teams within Qlik including Market Intelligence, Corporate Development, Data Business Unit, Analytics Business Unit, and Partners. Success in this role will require an individual who can be self-directed, deeply understand business & market dynamics, develop novel & creative solutions, and build consensus across the organization. Here’s how you’ll be making an impact: Market Research and Analysis: Stay current on market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for business growth. Understand competitor strategies and market dynamics to inform our market development initiatives.Opportunity Identification: Maintain a deep understanding of data, analytics and AI market dynamics and trends Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify emerging market opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and preferences to drive product and service enhancements. Work closely with VP of Strategy & Market Development to create business cases laying out the investment, returns, threats and risks for the growth opportunities. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the VP of Strategy & Market Development to develop and refine market development strategies. Contribute insights and recommendations to shape the long-term vision of the company in response to market dynamics. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with product development, marketing, and other relevant teams to align market development efforts with overall business objectives. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of market initiatives. Assist the VP of Strategy & Market Development to articulate growth opportunities with functional leaders and gain consensus. We’re looking for a teammate with: 5+ years of experience in technology sector (ideally B2B software), business strategy or other related field such as strategy consulting. Familiarity with the data integration, analytics and AI markets Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, computer science or a related field; MBA is a plus. Proven experience in market research, strategic planning, and/or market development. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
