The Senior SEM Manager will report directly to the Director of Performance Marketing and is responsible for owning and scaling the paid search channel as a core driver of demand generation and revenue growth. This role sets the strategic direction for paid search, manages execution and optimization, and leads all paid search efforts to deliver measurable pipeline and ARR impact.
This role requires deep, hands-on experience in paid search / SEM channel management, with experience in a high-growth B2B Saas demand generation team.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What you can expect:
- Own the global B2B paid search strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop and execute a paid search roadmap aligned to MQL, pipeline, and revenue impact, informing and adapting to broader B2B demand generation strategy
- Responsible for ongoing keyword, audience, bidding, creative, and landing page optimization to maximize leads, mqls, sqls, qualified pipeline & CAC efficiency
- Establish and execute experimentation and testing to continuously improve performance.
- Partner with analytics and revenue operations teams to ensure accurate attribution, forecasting, and insight-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with Marketing Analytics, Web & Content teams to ensure alignment across messaging, conversion paths, and downstream revenue performance.
- Own and manage a significant paid search budget, balancing growth and efficiency while scaling pipeline generation from SEM channel
- Lead the evolution of paid search strategy as 1Password scales into new markets & product categories
What we're looking for:
- 6+ years of deep, hand-on experience in Paid Search / SEM
- Demonstrated experience owning paid search as a primary B2B demand generation channel in a Sales-Led growth motion
- Experience connecting paid search performance to broader demand generation, lifecycle, and revenue strategies
- Experience supporting sales led demand motions is preferred.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, GA4, SA360, and B2B attribution and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-backed recommendations.
