Staff Software Engineer (Platform) The role, in a nutshell: We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team to develop and maintain the core infrastructure and development platform. The platform team is responsible for designing, building, and scaling our core services, including authentication, database, API, SDK, and chainctl. In this role, you will be responsible for helping accelerate our internal engineering teams, as well Chainguard’s customers. What you’ll do: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and maintain core services for Chainguard Practice continuous improvement, by iterating on how services are deployed, configured, monitored, and maintained on our platform What we're looking for: Skills and Experience: Comfortable working and thriving within a Linux ecosystem Experience supporting high availability distributed production systems Treated infrastructure as code utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and SaltStack Familiarity working in a public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) Software development skills in at least one of the following languages: Python and Golang B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent in related work experience. Strong English language skills and ability to work independently, as an effective part of a globally distributed team Ability to learn about the supply chain security space.
