As an Investigations Specialist at Ciena, this role offers the opportunity to strengthen the company’s global security posture by leading complex investigations, supporting legal and compliance needs, and advancing data‑driven risk management practices. This position plays a critical part in protecting Ciena’s people, assets, information, and brand while collaborating with cross‑functional partners across geographies. How you will make an impact: • Lead security investigations involving Code of Business Conduct and Ethics violations, fraud, improper business practices, and other high‑risk incidents • Apply advanced data analytics to structured and unstructured datasets to identify anomalies, trends, and policy violations using Microsoft Office and Power BI • Support computer forensic activities and e‑discovery collections to enable accurate, defensible legal outcomes • Produce clear, objective, and standards‑based investigation reports with conclusions and recommendations • Coordinate and liaise with global law enforcement and external investigative agencies • Strengthen asset protection efforts and support programs designed to reduce grey‑market exposure • Build strong relationships across departments to effectively deploy security policies and drive continuous improvement The must have: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. • 5+ years of experience in corporate investigations, security, compliance, audit, or related disciplines. • Proven experience conducting complex investigations in partnership with Legal, Internal Audit, Accounting, or Cyber Security. • Strong data analytics skills, including hands‑on experience with large datasets from ERP or financial systems. • Knowledge of e‑discovery processes and digital forensics methodologies. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present findings to senior leadership. • Ability to work across time zones and manage sensitive matters with urgency, discretion, and professionalism. Nice to have: • Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) • Experience with forensic tools and advanced digital evidence handling • Background in asset protection or grey‑market mitigation programs • Exposure to global law enforcement coordination • Familiarity with advanced Power BI reporting and automation • Experience supporting multinational operations • Working knowledge of investigative best practices and emerging security trends #LI-MP1 Not ready to apply?
