Job Opportunity: Billing Specialist Hands-on experience using PRISM or comparable medical billing platforms Location: On Site / Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Kenya Schedule: Monday through Friday \u007C 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time) Employment Type: Full-Time Language Requirement: English B2+ Experience Required: Minimum 1 year Role Overview: The Billing Specialist supports insurance billing and coding operations for optometry and ophthalmology practices. The position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow structured billing workflows. Responsibilities: • Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for optometry and ophthalmology services. • Ensure claims accuracy and compliance with insurance and coding guidelines. • Post payments, adjustments, and remittance information into billing systems. • Monitor unpaid claims, follow up with insurance companies, and resolve outstanding issues. • Assist with denial management by identifying errors, correcting claims, and resubmitting as needed. • Maintain accurate billing records and client documentation. • Support billing team to achieve timely and accurate claim processing. • Protect patient information by adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA standards. Required Qualifications: • English proficiency at B2 level or higher (clear and confident communication). • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry. • Ability to learn and follow specific billing workflows and insurance requirements. • Solid computer skills; Google Suite required, billing software experience a plus. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Interest in long-term growth in billing and insurance.
