As a Senior Software Engineer on our Privacy & Data Security team based in London, you'll be an early member of our growing presence in Europe. You'll partner with product management, product design, and your team to drive the discovery and development of privacy features that expand Vanta's value for its customers. Vanta's mission is to secure the internet and protect consumer data. Our product integrates deeply with the services that present security risk to a company, pulls and analyses data from those sources, and surfaces potential security threats to our customers in real time with guidance to remediate them. As a Senior Software Engineer on our Privacy & Data Security team, you'll be responsible for setting technical direction to enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, driving complex projects across our technical stack, and mentoring our talented engineering team. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta's growth. What you’ll do as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Privacy & Data Security at Vanta: - Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our business - Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth - Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js) - Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve their security and prove it - Contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture as we grow How to be successful in this role: - Have at least 5+ years of industry experience - Have played technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects - Have previous startup experience, or worked in an environment that prioritises a bias for action - Have previous experience working on greenfield projects - Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space - Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
