About the role and what you’ll be doing:
We are looking for a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our company. The Receptionist will manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of tasks. The Receptionist will also need to be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Key accountabilities:
Answer/direct incoming calls on multi-line phone system.
Direct and answer inquiries about company, products and services.
Receive and greet visitors, vendors, and clients.
General office duties to include incoming and outgoing mail, as well as order and maintain office supplies.
Facilities, work with building engineer/property management for daily maintenance of office space (e.g. HVAC, elevators, etc.).
Process ID badges for new hires/issue and maintain access control functions- verification of employee- and/or visitor identification. Work alongside IT Security to ensure company is within security compliance.
Maintain conference room calendar on both 24th and 25th floors.
Coordinate refreshments and food for executive meetings as needed.
Perform miscellaneous tasks to support Executive Assistant to CEO and Executive team.
Skills and experience we’d like you to have:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).
Professional attitude and appearance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Excellent organizational skills.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Customer service attitude.
Accountable and flexible.
