The role
SoFi is seeking a manager to join our Capital Markets group in the Home Loans team. In this role, to you will be the point person working with a cross-functional internal team of capital markets, treasury, margin management members together with external constituencies including broker-dealers, investors, the GSE’s and third party vendors to execute home loan sales, securitizations transactions.
What you’ll do:
Manage rate-sheet generation via MBS pricing and coordination into the Product and Pricing Engine. Emphasis on TBA pricing and Spec Pool pricing for rate-sheet generation.
Understanding of MSR and BU-BD/XS Servicing pricing
Work with margin management to determine best margin based on secondary pricing, region, and/or current program, or marketing campaign.
Familiar with Lock Desk procedures and policies.
MBS pooling and loan delivery
Pipeline hedging, trading and understanding of the roll market
What you’ll need:
6+ years of relevant experience desired, primarily in home loan secondary markets.
BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics or similar technical field
Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute broadly to achieve team and company objectives
Strong verbal and written communication as well as technical and organizational skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong ability to read and interpret financial contracts and knowledge of core documents and industry standard/best practices in transactional terms
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience with lending or consumer credit products a plus: mortgages, student loans, credit cards, personal loans, etc.
Previous experience with asset-backed securitization data sets a plus: Bloomberg, Intex, DV01, etc.
A Plus:
Familiarity with Encompass LOS and OB pricing engine.
Post Close experience.
Resi Private Label Securities, structuring and securitization.
Understanding of fixed income/MBS risk metrics and bond math.
