Software Engineer, w ith a strong background in infrastructure, with
focus
on Development Tools ,
to join the Cato team. In this
role, you will be
a part of
and
infrastructure team focusing on the overall Developer Experience, with the goal of reducing friction and increasing
the entire RD organization efficiency and
enable
faster, more
reliable
and engagi ng development process .
Responsibilities:
Discover, define, design, build and own products and tools across the entire development process (starting from SCM, through IDE, AI agents, build, testing, environments, feature flags and all the way to continuous deployment and production metrics. And more...).
Work in collaboration with the Development and Research orgs on one side, DevOps and SRE on the other side, to capture requirements, identify issues and jointly resolve and deliver solutions.
Educate (yourself and the organization) about State-of-the-Art tools, techniques and methodologies which would allow us to continuously improve our RD.
Be the evangelist of all of the above, supporting the different groups in Cato (onboard and drive adoption)
Requirements:
5+ Experience as a software developer, with focus on infrastructure level experience (experience in Java or similar is required)
Experience developing in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Proven ability to drive large scale, long running projects, including transformative projects (impacting >50 developers minimum, preferably >100)
Experience with Configuration Management/DevOps tooling
Familiarity with NoSQL DBs and relational DBs. We’re using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and more.
Experience in building and operating SaaS microservices with high scale and load in production
Experience testing services in continuous integration methodology
Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing network systems - Advantage
Motivated, a fast learner, independent, and great at problem-solving
