Engineering Manager, Portworx Enterprise

THE ROLE You will join the Portworx team in Pure Storage, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality Portworx Enterprise products. You will be contributing clean robust code, be customer oriented and put quality first. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for designing and developing cloud-native microservices and core Portworx capabilities Drive execution in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, balancing roadmap delivery, customer escalations, and operational commitments Establish strong engineering processes across design, development, unit/functional testing, code reviews, documentation, CI/CD, and production readiness Own customer-facing technical outcomes by partnering with Support, Customer Success, and field teams to resolve critical production issues and improve product reliability Build mechanisms to rapidly debug and resolve large-scale cluster and performance issues, including leveraging AI-based tooling to enhance troubleshooting efficiency Drive adoption of AI-assisted development workflows to improve code quality, accelerate feature delivery, automate testing, and increase overall team productivity Collaborate closely with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to translate evolving business and customer needs into scalable technical solutions Ensure teams take full ownership of design and delivery, incorporating customer feedback and addressing issues found in testing and real-world deployments Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning, encouraging experimentation with new technologies to push the state-of-the-art Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and emerging leaders, fostering career growth and building organizational capability We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave. WHAT YOU BRING BS in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred) Overall 12+ years of experience with 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development 3+ years of engineering management experience Strong background in designing and delivering distributed systems and cloud-native architectures (Golang preferred) Deep understanding of microservices architectures and cloud-native platforms Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity, production incidents, and high-pressure customer situations Experience working with multiple stakeholders, from product management to customer beta partners, in delivering highly scalable and production-quality software Demonstrated ability to improve engineering velocity through process optimization, automation, and AI-assisted development practices Strong technical depth in data structures, algorithms, and software design Proven track record of building collaborative, high-performing engineering teams Must be willing and able to work in an in-office environment INCLUDE FOR POSTING LOCATION IDENTIFICATION #LI-REMOTE, #LI-ONSITE WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US: Innovation : We celebrate those who think critically, like a challenge, and aspire to be trailblazers.
