EHS Specialist - Engine Test Operations

Hermeus is a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on the rapid design, build, and test of high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft for the national interest. Working directly with the Department of Defense, Hermeus delivers capabilities that will ensure that our nation, and our allies, maintain an asymmetric advantage over any and all potential adversaries. The EHS Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day implementation and ownership of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at an engine test facility located at Cecil Airport in Jacksonville, FL. This role serves as the primary on-site EHS authority, supporting engine test operations by ensuring regulatory compliance, hazard mitigation, and safe execution of high-risk activities. The position requires a strong field presence, close collaboration with Operations and Facilities, and hands-on management of PPE, hazardous waste, permits, and land-use control documentation. The EHS Specialist reports to EHS leadership and supports both routine and non-routine test activities.
