Accountant

The Finance team is seeking a motivated Accountant who is excited about making an impact on the business. Location: Barcelona, Spain For this role, we're embracing a hub-hybrid model, designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person collaboration. What you’ll be doing: Support a timely, accurate, and reliable global month-end close, including preparing journal entries, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations (cash, prepaid, accruals, and fixed assets). Own the procure-to-pay cycle end-to-end — including purchase orders, accounts payable, corporate credit cards, and employee expense reimbursements. Support close optimization initiatives and contribute ideas for process improvement. Assist with variance analysis and analytical review of financial statements. Help establish, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls. Assist with the year-end audit and regulatory filings. Partner with external tax accountants to support tax filings. Required: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (ADE), or equivalent university-level education 2–4 years of experience in general ledger or transactional accounting (internship or prácticas experience welcome) Foundational understanding of IFRS, prior exposure to US GAAP a plus, with willingness to learn US GAAP reporting requirements Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, basic formulas) Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Business-level English required Curiosity and willingness to develop accounting research and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy Preferred: Actively pursuing ACCA or equivalent international accounting qualification Experience working in a multi-national or US-headquartered company Familiarity with NetSuite Exposure to Ramp or similar spend management platforms SaaS or tech industry experience About Affinity With more than 3,000 customers worldwide and backed by some of Silicon Valley's best firms, Affinity has raised $120M to empower dealmakers to find, manage, and close more deals.
