Financial ESG Reporting Specialist Our Financial ESG Reporting team, which forms part of the wider Global Reporting team is looking for a Financial ESG Reporting Specialist with experience in the payments and/or finance industry. The Financial ESG reporting team is responsible for financial and sustainability (ESG) reporting. As Adyen grows, so does the complexity of accounting and reporting, so we are looking for an enthusiastic team member to help us navigate this constantly evolving landscape. As a Financial ESG Reporting Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, preparation of Adyen’s Financial Statements and working closely with teams across the business. Although Financial reporting will be your key focus, as a member of the wider Reporting team, you will be expected to think beyond the impact of financial reporting and also support the team across ESG and Regulatory reporting topics on an ad-hoc basis. The successful candidate will play a central role in the Group Finance team as well as working as a business partner with a wide range of teams, including Group Finance, Enterprise Risk, Legal, Compliance and many others and provide pragmatic advice and guidance on technical financial reporting topics. What you’ll do Preparation of financial reports, such as quarterly, half and full-year financial statements, in accordance with IFRS; Support the annual report process and other relevant internal and external financial and non-financial reports; Coordinate and prepare Adyen’s monthly management reporting processes; Support in cross-over financial and ESG topics within the team. Support in translating the impact from complex transactions and new products into financial reporting and work cross-functionally to assess the impact in finance (e.g. regulatory reporting; controlling, tax); Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations applicable to Adyen, and coordinate with other functions the implementation of such changes. Strengthen connections between the business and reporting team, understanding the impact of new products or areas of expansion, supporting business growth through regulatory strategy; Who you are You have between 4-5 years' experience in accounting/audit/financial reporting functions with either ACA, ACCA,CIMA, CA(SA), qualification or equivalent; You’re comfortable working in unstructured environments and take initiative in managing tasks. Navigating ambiguity comes naturally, and you bring a thoughtful approach to shaping processes where clarity is needed.
