We're looking for a backend developer with a strong technical background and experience building fast and flexible server-side components. You'll work with a team of other developers to create the fundamental architecture on which our offerings are based, collaborating with front end developers to create fast and flexible server-side components that adhere to high levels of security and validation. You will also help drive an engineering culture of openness, honesty, and help ensure that "the best ideas" win. You'll constantly optimize and improve our products for speed and scalability. What we can offer you The opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment with an experienced engineering team where you can learn and grow Exposure to modern cloud technologies and infrastructure Competitive benefits that include paid conference attendance and paid training allowance Modern office near Veszprém city center In-office workout room with professional workout classes What you’ll do as a Associate software engineer Contribute to the development of backend components that power Strivacity's products Work closely with frontend developers and other engineers to build reliable server-side functionality Help maintain secure and well-tested backend services with guidance from senior engineers Participate in improving the performance and scalability of our platform Take part in code reviews, team discussions, and knowledge sharing Learn from experienced teammates while contributing to a collaborative and open engineering culture What you should bring with you 0–2 years of experience in software development (internships, university projects, or personal projects are also valuable) Basic knowledge of Java (knowledge of Go/Golang is a plus) Familiarity with Git or other version control systems Interest in backend development and distributed systems Willingness to learn about authentication and authorization technologies Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn new technologies Good communication and teamwork skills Nice to have Some experience with Spring Boot Exposure to frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js Experience from personal, academic, or open-source projects Additional info We’re hiring only those who are authorized to work in Hungary.
