You can learn more about working with us in the last section of this page.About the RoleAs a key member of Tandem’s Operations team, you’ll be responsible for the execution, performance, and continuous improvement of a core part of our business. You’ll lead a frontline team, own measurable outcomes, and work closely with engineering to optimize workflows and implement automation — including AI-powered tools — that scale our impact.This role is central to ensuring every patient and provider we support experiences fast, reliable, and high-quality service. You’ll combine analytical problem-solving with hands-on execution to deliver operational excellence, while continuously improving systems and processes as we grow.This is a high-ownership role that blends strategic thinking with execution intensity. You’ll have autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to shape how Tandem delivers at scale. If you are low-ego, data-driven, and energized by building systems that make complex operations run beautifully — we want to hear from you.What You’ll DoOwn performance and outcomes across a core operational function — including throughput, quality, and reliabilityLead and develop a frontline team, setting clear goals, managing performance, and building a culture of accountability and excellenceDesign and improve processes, training, and quality systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and high impactUse data to drive insights and decisions — identifying gaps, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions that improve performance and efficiencyPartner closely with engineering to design, test, and roll out automation and workflow improvements (including AI-powered tools and low/no-code prototypes)Deliver an exceptional experience for patients and providers through operational rigor and empathyCollaborate with leadership to inform strategy, forecast capacity, and shape how Tandem scales intelligently over timeWe’ll Be Most Excited If You Have2–8 years of experience in operations, consulting, finance, or another analytical, outcome-oriented environment (startup experience a plus)Proven track record of owning metrics and driving measurable improvement across operational functionsExperience building or managing high-performing teams and scaling workflowsStrong analytical and technical fluency — comfort working with data; bonus for SQL, automation tools, or AI-driven systemsA bias for action: you move fast, simplify complexity, and find leverage through systems and toolsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with a reputation for being a high-NPS teammateA mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvementThis is a list of ideal qualifications for this position.
