<h2>About the Opportunity</h2> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Data Platform Engineer</strong> to help design, build, and scale our next-generation data platform centered on <strong>Snowflake</strong>. This role will be instrumental in building a modern data ecosystem leveraging tools including <strong>dbt Cloud, Airflow, Atlan, Tableau, Okta, Terraform, and Monte Carlo</strong>.</p> <p>You will join a small, cross-geography engineering team operating with a <strong>product mindset</strong> - delivering iterative value, partnering closely with business and analytics stakeholders, and owning both build and run responsibilities of a mission-critical platform.</p> <h2>What to expect?</h2> <h3><strong>Platform Architecture & Development</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and evolve a scalable, secure Snowflake-based enterprise data architecture.</li> <li>Build robust data transformation pipelines using <strong>dbt Cloud</strong>, ensuring adherence to modeling standards and best practices.</li> <li>Develop and maintain orchestrated workflows.</li> <li>Implement data governance and catalog capabilities through <strong>Atlan</strong>.</li> <li>Partner with analytics teams to enable performant, governed data assets for <strong>Tableau</strong> and other downstream tools.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Infrastructure & DevOps</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using <strong>Terraform</strong> for provisioning data infrastructure components and foundational infrastructure in AWS.</li> <li>Manage identity and access control through <strong>Okta</strong>, ensuring secure, role-based authentication and authorization.</li> <li>Maintain CI/CD pipelines in CircleCI, supporting reliable and automated deployment processes.</li> <li>Configure monitoring, observability, and data reliability workflows with <strong>Monte Carlo</strong>.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Operational Excellence</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own and operate platform components encompassing incident response, observability, performance and cost optimization.</li> <li>Maintain high availability and resilience across data pipelines and platform infrastructure.</li> <li>Define and uphold SLAs, runbooks, and best practices for operational support.</li> <li>Participate in an on-call rotation and help improve operational processes over time.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Work closely with data engineering, analytics, product, and security teams across geographies.</li> <li>Support a product-led approach: gather requirements, shape roadmap priorities, and continuously deliver iterative improvements.</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and evangelize engineering best practices within the data ecosystem.</li> </ul> <h2>What do you need to be successful?</h2> <h3><strong>Required</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5+ years experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or similar technical roles.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Snowflake</strong>, including warehouse design, performance tuning, security, and governance.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with <strong>dbt (Cloud or Core)</strong> and modern data modeling approaches.</li> <li>Experience configuring <strong>Airflow</strong> for orchestrating complex workflows.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>Terraform</strong> (o ...
