Job Summary: The Permit Coordinator plays a large role in ensuring that we are following each cities/towns standard for permitting. They are responsible for ensuring the pre-install and install work is within the specific city’s standards. The position requires attention to detail, organization, follow up, scheduling of inspections, and directing issues that may arise at the job site regarding permitting. The position will provide backup to other administrative production duties, as necessary. Essential Functions/Physical Requirements of Job: · Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s permitting procedures and requirements. · Collaborate with production manager(s) & plumbers to ensure permit procedures are being followed. · Pull building/plumbing permits and work with HOA/Condo boards when applicable. · Complete building permit applications for appropriate cities 1 week after order date. · Coordinate and schedule required municipal inspections to ensure project timelines are met. · Schedule tradesman for assigned jobs, ensuring proper documentation and timely project execution. · Assist with pre-inspections, assist plumbers on complex jobs as needed. · Ensure any 1099 contractor plumbers or W2 plumbers have all information needed for jobs when assigned. · Utilize the milestone grid to follow job statuses and permits are not missed. · Call the cities/inspectors to schedule rough-in and final inspections. · Track permit receipts and upload to Corporate Card Bank on a routine basis. · Process 1099 contractor invoices. Qualifications: · High school diploma or GED equivalent required. · Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience. · Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to gather, review, and analyze data accurately. · Collaborative team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines. Computer Operations: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications used in the performance of job duties.
