Senior Accountant

About the role We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to play a key role on our Controllership team, supporting Chime’s accounting function and month-end close. As our Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of complex accounting areas, drive process improvements, and partner cross-functionally on initiatives that impact the broader organization. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $80,000.00 and up to $110,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to Own key components of the monthly close process Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis Lead improvements to accounting policies and controls Drive automation and process improvements Partner cross-functionally across teams Support system implementations and new product launches Support audits and financial reporting To thrive in this role, you have 5–7 years accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) CPA or CPA candidate Strong GAAP knowledge Strong communication and stakeholder skills Experience in fast-paced environments Strong analytical mindset Advanced Excel / data skills #LI-BE1 #LI-Onsite A little about us At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
