Precision AQ’s Value Demonstration Economic Modeling (VDEM) team supports innovators developing next‑generation therapies and interventions. We combine rigorous health economic modeling with strategic, pragmatic thinking to help clients demonstrate value, strengthen access strategies, and inform pricing and payer engagement.
We are seeking an Associate Director who is an excellent hands-on modeler, an effective project manager, and a pragmatic problem solver. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering high‑quality models, collaborating closely with expert colleagues in pricing, evidence strategy, and global modeling groups, and contributing to the evolution of modern modeling practices.
The Associate Director will work in the US VDEM team and collaborate with modeling experts across Precision’s Canada and Europe groups, as well as colleagues specializing in pricing and market access strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution
Lead and execute economic models, including cost‑effectiveness, budget impact, cost‑consequence, early value, and other innovative frameworks.
Develop model analysis plans, conceptual frameworks, parameter selection, and technical documentation.
Build, adapt, and quality‑check models built primarily in Excel and VBA (required) .
Apply R and R‑Shiny where appropriate for specific analytical needs, automation, reproducible workflows, or interactive tools.
Use pragmatic approaches to modeling, balancing methodological rigor with real‑world evidence constraints.
Apply or evaluate emerging AI tools to improve model conceptualization, documentation, coding, and scenario exploration.
Draft technical reports, HTA‑ready documentation, and publication-quality materials.
2. Project Management
Manage day‑to‑day project operations, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery.
Coordinate project team tasks, ensuring clarity on what’s completed and what’s next.
Provide structure and direction to junior team members while receiving broader guidance from senior project leads.
Support risk mitigation and transparent communication with senior leads.
Serve as a line manager and mentor for junior staff.
Uphold internal quality assurance and quality control standards.
3. Business Development
Identify potential follow‑on opportunities within existing client accounts.
Draft proposal text, budgets, scopes, and methodologies with support from senior leaders.
Contribute to capability presentations and discussions in areas of expertise.
Support thought leadership in modeling innovation, pragmatic analytics, and evolving modeling methods.

Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree in health economics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, economics, or related field (PhD preferred).
5–8 years of experience in HEOR economic modeling or similar consulting environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA for model development and adaptation.
Strong academic record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and experience managing project tasks.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi‑regional teams.
