Strategic Operations Associate

*Candidates must be able to work during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.* Job Purpose: In 2017, Shields created the Strategic Operations group to work directly with Executive Leadership team to execute on all company priorities, including all strategy growth workstreams, operational improvement initiatives, business development opportunities and new business innovation ideas. Members of the Strategic Operations team have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the Company before finding an operations or functional leadership role, or lead a new growth initiative for the business. This will be a very hands-on and analytical role and will support the Operations leadership team to drive excellent clinical, operational, and financial performance for Shields’ health system specialty pharmacy partnerships. Strategic Operations professionals will be expected to manage cross-functional projects through completion and support the initiatives with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, highly resourceful, strong analytical skills and possess the ability to work comfortably inside a highly entrepreneurial environment that is very results-oriented. Job Duties: Work directly with the regional Operations leadership teams to identify and execute on health system partnership priorities Support Regional Vice Presidents and Directors of Operations to facilitate successful financial, operational and clinical outcomes for Shields’ partnerships Assist in day-to-day strategy and operations for the region Facilitate internal discussions with operations and cross-functional teams collaboration to advance the strategic priorities of health system partnerships Develop financial forecasts and detailed data analyses to support decision making Assist in facilitating effective decision-making through analysis and execution of strategic projects Act as key member of the Strategic Operations team to drive growth across the organization Work on projects as directed by the Executive Leadership Team to execute on key business priorities corporate strategies Support the execution of operational and strategic initiatives Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the C-Suite to facilitate efficient decision making Proactively pursue ancillary business and growth opportunities Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree 1-3 years work experience, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a strategy role in a high-growth, healthcare start up environment Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work cross functionally to make things happen quickly Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment Experience in summarizing and presenting Company results in formal Management or Board of Director settings Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization Analytically oriented; makes and defends decisions based on hard data Hard worker and self-starter who is able to work independently, with limited oversight from managers Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Healthcare experience preferred, but not required Strategic Operations associates professionals will likely travel 5-10% of their time, meeting with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff Job Salary: Range between $110,000 to $120,000. *In addition to offering annual bonus potential, salary determinations at the time of offer may vary based on multiple differentials including but not limited to: Specialized Skills Training Experience Education California residents employed by or applying for work at Shields have certain privacy rights.
