As a Lead Test Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, enhancing, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and Dell Boomi. You will be responsible for analyzing complex business problems and automation challenges across enterprise applications, conducting proofs of concept (POCs), and identifying the most effective UI and API automation frameworks to meet organizational needs. The ideal candidate will be adept at evaluating automation opportunities, presenting cost–benefit analyses to leadership, and ensuring visibility and traceability through integration with CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to: Understand diverse application architectures and testing requirements. Demonstrate and evangelize automation frameworks to stakeholders. Mentor and train team members in adopting and extending automation solutions. This role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to drive quality and efficiency across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Lead Salesforce Test Automation initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable UI and API automation frameworks tailored for Salesforce applications (Lightning, Apex, Flows, and integrations). Collaborate with Salesforce developers, admins, and QA teams to identify high-impact automation candidates and ensure optimal test coverage across business-critical processes. Develop and maintain robust automation suites using tools such as Playwright, TestNG, RestAssured, Postman and Jenkins, integrated with Salesforce CI/CD pipelines (using Jenkins). Conduct POCs to evaluate and recommend the best-fit automation strategies and tools for Salesforce and other SaaS platforms like NetSuite, Workday, and Dell Boomi. Build and manage test data strategies, including data seeding, masking, and synthetic test data generation for automation use cases. Define and enforce automation standards, code reviews, and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability of test frameworks. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation and reporting of build quality. Analyze automation results, provide cost-benefit insights, and communicate ROI and quality metrics to management and stakeholders. Partner with others to demonstrate automation solutions, drive adoption, and provide hands-on training to QA and development teams. Continuously enhance framework capabilities to support new Salesforce features, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
