Business Justification: To support Qualys’ continued growth and digital transformation initiatives, we require a Principal Salesforce Developer to lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade solutions across our Salesforce ecosystem. This role is critical to ensure that Salesforce remains a reliable, integrated, and efficient platform supporting our global Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations. Job Summary: We are seeking a Principal Salesforce Developer to lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role will serve as a technical leader within the Business Applications team driving innovation, ensuring the best platform practices, and enabling digital transformation across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who can architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions, mentor developers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business value through technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Salesforce architecture, development, and integration initiatives. Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, CPQ, Marketing, Experience, Service). Develop and maintain Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Flows, and APIs to deliver robust and efficient functionality. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and admins to translate business requirements into well-architected technical designs. Define and enforce development standards, code quality, and CI/CD best practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Copado, Opsera. Oversee system integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications (ERP, billing, marketing, data platforms). Lead and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and establish a culture of technical excellence. Evaluate new Salesforce releases, features, and AppExchange solutions; provide recommendations for adoption and roadmap planning. Contribute to governance, performance optimization, and data management strategies across the Salesforce ecosystem. Partner with IT leadership to ensure alignment of Salesforce capabilities with enterprise architecture and strategic goals. Qualifications and Skills: 8 - 10 years of Salesforce development experience. Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and Flows. Proven track record for designing and implementing large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions. Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and integration patterns. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders. Experience with API-led integrations (Boomi, Mulesoft etc.) and enterprise middleware. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps processes.
