Brief Description: Senior Software development engineer for Network security product Full Job Description: We invite you to be part of motivated and agile Qualys engineering team responsible for developing high-end Cloud based Security Solutions. In this position you will be working on network security solutions to deliver cutting-edge products. This position is for our fastest growing R&D center in Pune, India, which is the nerve center of engineering in Qualys. Responsibilities: 1. Contribute to the design and development of microservices based cloud native application. Must have 5 to 8 years of experience in writing scalable cloud native applications in Java, Springboot, Docker, high throughput streaming using Kafka, distributed databases- Redis, Cassandra, Oracle, Kubernetes based deployment aware of CI/CD pipeline, development best practices, identifying areas of performance bottlenecks 2. Develop a complete understanding of the product functionality right from customer usage, existing architecture in the Qualys platform, use cases, appliance and cloud aspects. Interact with team members by reading and comprehending written code. 3. Good written and verbal communication for cross team collaboration and handling customer issues. 4. Self-driven and ability to quickly understand the domain – cyber security and networking. 5. Work with QA teams to explain feature details to enable testing at system level and real world usage scenarios. Participate in test reviews and resolve issues raised by QA/performance teams including those seen in production environments. 6. Create design document and work with technical publications for customer facing product content – documentation, online help etc. 7. Mentor junior team members.
