Lead Software Engineer

This role is for Sustenance engineering where you have to be good problem solver. - As a part of this team, you will be working in a fast paced environment developing and supporting a highly scalable SaaS-based cloud security platform.. . Responsibilities. - Design & deliver distributed, scalable, high-performance containerized micro service-based application fixes. - Ensure high quality of design & code through reviews.. - Research, prototype and develop solutions to innovate and improve Qualys’ technology platform. - Research and develop fixes/solutions for cloud native solutions across available public clouds e.g. AWS, AZURE, GCP, OCI etc. - Closely monitoring all the CRMs assigned to Engineering team and ensuring teams are following correct SLAs.. - Driving the live troubleshooting of the issues along with support team and other functions like SREs etc. and provide work arounds/quick fixes wherever possible leveraging your software development skills.. - Provide hot fixes, patches and upgrade deployment support in production.. - Provide technical expertise, guidance, mentorship to team members.. . . Qualifications:. - 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in architecture, design & development of Enterprise class solutions using Java, Sprinboot.. - Strong experience in Application Development/ Support or sustaining engineering role. - Good understanding of relational databases like Oracle and/or NoSQL DB - Professional experience working on indexing technology like OpenSearch and caching technologies like Redis or Memcached - Good understanding of data structures and algorithms, application design. - Experience in Web application development using REST APIs.. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.. - The ability to be a good listener, and to understand customer issues.. - Ability to provide innovative workarounds or design a solution to fix customers problem.. . Additional Desired Skills. - Experience in Cloud Security and Vulnerability Management space.. - Experience on indexing technology like Elastic search, caching like Redis and Kafka event streaming..- Experience in developing micro-services, deployed as containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
