Full Job Description What you get to do You will get to team up with talented and highly motivated engineers and architects innovating the next generation Qualys Technology Platform processing over a 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day. As a part of this team you will be working in a fast paced environment prototyping, designing, developing and supporting a highly scalable SaaS based cloud security platform. We leverage open source technologies to solve challenging problems aligned with the enterprise security business needs. Responsibilities Research, prototype and develop solutions to innovate and improve Qualys’ technology platform Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance micro service based applications Produce high quality software with scalable architecture and design principles Qualifications A successful candidate will have some experience with large scale software systems, a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. 3+ Years of professional work experience as Programmer/Developer in the Software Industry Excellent programming and designing skills in Java Good understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases. Good understanding of basic networking concepts, operating system fundamentals, data structures and algorithms Strong problem solving, logical thinking and analytical skills for problem solving/ debugging Understanding of System Design by playing with a black box system Concepts of Software Engineering and Agile / Project Management Clear communication: Comprehension of English, Articulation in English and Effective Communication • Positive perspective, team player, smart working and go getter attitude • Willing to self-study and learn quickly.
