Brief Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to work on an exciting project focused on developing advanced Container Security Solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a new product offering from Qualys. This position is based at our rapidly growing R&D center in Pune, India, which is an integral part of our global, multi-continent engineering organization. Responsibilities: As part of a dynamic team of engineers and architects, you will: Design, prototype, develop, and support highly scalable SaaS-based security solutions. Collaborate on architecture and feature design for complex software systems. Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and performance optimization. Required Technical Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 5+ years of hands-on software development experience. Strong proficiency in C++ and Go programming languages. In-depth knowledge of Containers, Kubernetes, and various container runtimes. Understanding of container image creation processes; multi-stage build experience is highly desirable. Solid understanding of Linux operating system internals. Experience in design, prototyping, development, testing, and performance profiling. Hands-on experience with Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and similar development tools. Soft Skills & Attributes: Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering assigned products, components, and features. Demonstrated commitment to quality and experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD). Proven ability to work on complex projects with multiple features and short release cycles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Collaborative team player with a positive, humble attitude. Passion for raising the quality bar across products, teams, and the engineering organization.
