You’ll be working closely on one side with our hardware vendors and ME/EE people, and on the other side with server and UI engineers, industrial designers, and our operations team. If you’re looking for a fast-paced environment where your work is regularly shipping to customers and improving people’s safety, this is the place for you!<br><br></p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop features for embedded platforms including Access Control, Alarms, Sensors, and Cameras, targeting bare-metal and RTOS-based systems</li> <li>Debug, solve problems, and do code reviews </li> <li>Define architecture, design of new features, and functionalities.</li> <li>Take part in projects from inception to deployment and customer support.</li> <li>Build prototypes and work on proofs of concept</li> <li>Research on technologies we are interested in for new products </li> <li>Work in a cross-functional team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>+5 years of experience in <strong>embedded system software</strong> development</li> <li>+5 years of experience in C or C++ programming</li> <li>Experience with Python or other scripting languages</li> <li>Experience with Git</li> <li>Strong electrical engineering background </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have any of: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Sub-GHz radio communication protocols</li> <li>Experience with Bluetooth / BLE</li> <li>Experience working with RTOS-based systems</li> <li>Linux user space experience</li> <li>Basic understanding of electrical circuits and usage of lab equipment (multimeters, etc) </li> <li>Bash scripting</li> <li>Go programing  </li> <li>Yocto </li> <li>Linux kernel modules programming </li> <li>Secure boot / security</li> <li>Bootloaders ( ex.
