About the role: We are looking for a Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to own our day-to-day financial records and payroll operations for our Israel-based team. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping and the end-to-end monthly payroll process with a high level of accuracy and accountability. Reporting into our Finance Manager, you will ensure compliance with Israeli labor laws and tax regulations, support month-end close, and help prepare for audits. This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across financial systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Own full-cycle bookkeeping activities through trial balance Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for Israel-based employees Ensure compliance with Israeli tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax Prepare and submit payroll reports, including Forms 102 and 126 Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with audit preparation and external accountant coordination Work within financial systems including NetSuite, Michpal, and related tools Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency across finance operations Qualifications: 2 to 3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience Certified Bookkeeper Type 2 or 3 and Certified Payroll Clerk Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end close through trial balance Knowledge of Israeli payroll, labor laws, and tax reporting requirements Experience working with NetSuite, Michpal, and Excel or similar systems Experience in a high-tech company or CPA firm is a strong advantage Fluency in Hebrew and high-level English, both written and spoken Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines Hello Heart has a positive, diverse, and supportive culture - we look for people who are collaborative, creative, and courageous.
